Chef Lim Organic Kitchen @ The Scott Garden

On the 14th day of Chinese New Year, Sok Fon and I decided to try out Chef Lim Organic Kitchen for lunch. This is my first time eating organic food. Trying to be healthy...lol

According to their website, the food at the restaurant is less in salt (sodium), sugar, oil and is high in fibre and nutrition. CHEF LIM ORGANIC KITCHEN believes in eating healthy food and some of their concepts are:
  • Serve fresh vegetables that are delivered daily
  • Serve food with natural constituents and homemade condiments
  • Only use unbleached caned sugar/organic sugar and no refined sugar which is known to be unhealthy
  • Only use olive oil, sunflower oil and corn oil which are high in mono unsaturated fat which has been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease
  • Serve brown rice, homemade ramen and homemade vermicelli which promote good digestion
  • Do not serve the 'five pungent spices' - garlic, onion, chives, spring onion or scallion and leek (not sure why...interesting fact)

When we were there, we saw a few groups of people taking picture in front of this board. I guess they are groups from children's home and also some other organization. I believe the boss of the restaurant is involved in contributing to the society by doing some charity work.

Since it's the CNY mood, the boss hired a group of lion dance to perform in the restaurant. We were lucky to be able to see this interesting show.

We only ordered s main meal and desert because Sok Fon wasn't hungry; which means the following were actually eaten by me...Sok Fon only tried some of the desert......

Anna & The King (RM 17.90)
Interesting name...As one can guess by its name, the dish must be sour as Anna and the King is made in Thailand...haha...Consisted of vegetables only......Lots of capsicums....Quite appetizing due to the sourness of the sauce....not bad....would be better if there are some meat in it.....

Mud Pie (RM 8.90)
Interesting combination of chocolate ice cream with black sesame (if I tasted it correctly).....the taste is just right for my liking...not too sweet......quite good........
