Revisit to Goon Wah @ Kuchai Lama

I think this is my 4th time coming to Goon Wah for their famous fish head noodles. In addition to the fish head noodles and pig stomach and intestines, we ordered their Swiss Chicken too.

Very good chilli sauce...goes very well with the noodles. Mum always have more than 1 plate of those chilli sauce.......
Swiss Chicken
Extremely good.....I think I can finish the whole plate by myself if we did not order the fish head....

The ever famous fish head nooddles.....As usual the soup contains yam slices, fish head, pickles, tomatoes and noodless...

Stir-fried interstines and stomach with dried chrimps and pork lards......Forever so good...Never get tired of eating it...lol....

Raymond Lam's Macau concert - extremely Chok showing off muscular arms

EEG singer Raymond Lam kicked off his Light Up My Life Concert 2012 - Macau Stop last night at the Cotai Strip CotaiArena. His junior Mag Lam was his guest performer and his cousin Lin Xiawei and younger brother were in the audience to support him. Raymond didn't lose his 'King of Chok' character as he had everything including a hot wink while blowing a kiss and showed off his muscular arms. He even went off stage to shake hands with fans and take pictures. This attracted continuous screams from the 15,000 people from the audience.

Raymond expressed he has been busy shooting for new series Highs and Lows, and is fortunate to have many action scenes to help him keep fit. "Many of my concert costumes show the arms, so I have to concentrate on training my little 'mice'. (Filming so much, your losing your voice?) My voice was a little hoarse tonight. When the director was sick, I told him not to get too close." Asked if he pushed out all his Chok power? He laughed: "More like 'Chok hei' (frustration), I've been working over 10 hours in the last 10 days, I haven't had any time to sleep. It's already really good that I didn't pass out on stage!"

Chee Meng Chicken Rice @ Old Klang Road

2 days ago, mum and I went to Chee Meng Chicken Rice shop at Old Klang Road for lunch. This is one of the 3 branches. The other 2 is in Kuchai Lama and Bukit Bintang.

One of the plus point for Chee Meng is that this restaurant is certified Halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). Halal food is food that complies with Islamic Law or Shariah. Thus, Muslims don't have to worry when dining in here.

Let me provide some History of Chee Meng Chicken Rice (taken from http://cheemeng.com.my/about.htm):
Chee Meng began in 1965 with the founder, Mr. Yeok Kai Seng. Back then, it was known as "Chee
Meng Kai Fun" which means popular chicken rice when it first started off as a little chicken rice stall set up along Old Klang Road. In 1988, Chee Meng Kai Fun was officially registered under 'Nasi Ayam Chee Meng' as a mark of stable business establishment throughout the years of operation.

Fragrant Rice aka "Yau Fan"
The rice is good to eat just like that without anything. Really good................

Complimentary Peanut Soup
Parsley is added to make it more fragrant...The peanuts were not boiled into very soft texture; whereby the texture is just nice....

Thai Style Chicken Feet (RM 7)
As appetizer, we had the chicken feet. I love it but can be too spicy for people who can't take spicy food.............

Steamed Chicken (RM 6.50)
Mum's steamed chicken. Tried one piece.....The meat is tender and smooth.....Yummy yummy.....

Roasted Chicken (RM 6.50)
My portion of roasted chicken. The chicken is roasted perfectly. Also very smooth and tender....Yummy yummy.............

Total damage including 2 glasses of plain water and 3 rice = RM 22 something

Nasi Ayam Chee Meng, Old Klang Road

Restoran Sin Chua Kee @ Kuchai Lama

This was my second time eating out at Sin Chua Kee Restaurant. For this round, mum and I had marmite pork ribs, fish stomach and "Siong Tong Yin Choi". The food arrived quite fast; which is good because I was starving at that time. Food here is really good and satisfying. Definitely will come here again to try their crab dishes as I saw many people ordering crabs.

One more thing, if you do not want to wait for tables, please come here early as I saw many people standing while waiting for their table.

Marmite Pork Ribs (RM 18)
The pork ribs were good as they were deep fried and covered with thick marmite gravy. The meat came off easily and wasn't tough and dry. Mum actually took the time to count the number of pork ribs being served. Guess what is the total number.....the answer is 8 pieces of ribs...lol...If I have more stomach, I'll order another plate of ribs as they were really good. Yummy yummy..............

Stir-fried Fish Stomach (RM 14)
Interesting dish........I am not sure what type of fish stomach they used. Probably some small fishes as the stomach is not that big or was it the stomach of big fishes as I'm not sure of how big a fish stomach can be...hahaha.......The fish stomach were cooked in a similar way as pig intestines whereby it is fried with dried shrimps and pork lards. Yeah, the pork lards were fattening and delicious. The fish stomachs by itself has no taste; in which the taste came mainly from the dried shrimps and the texture of the stomachs were crispy.........First time eating fish stomach....

Siong Tong Yin Choi (RM 16)
Our only green for the night. Luckily the vege doesn't have little sands in them. Some restaurants do not wash Yin Choi properly and still have sands in them. The soup were okay....could be better by adding some century eggs....

Total damage including 3 big rice + 1 Chinese tea + 1 plain water = RM 42.90

Keong Kee Charcoal Roast and Herb Soup Restaurant @ Mega Mendung

Keong Kee is a new roadside restaurant in Mega Mendung which sells roasts stuffs such as roasted chicken, duck, pork, etc.... and also double boiled soups. Mum and I went to try their coconut soup boiled with chicken and also their combo rice which consisted of roasted pork and BBQ sausage.

Coconut Herbs Boiled with Black Chicken Soup (RM4.50)
Price not that expensive and quite tasty too. Lots of herbs being used in boiling the soup....

Roasted Pork with BBQ Sausage (RM6.50)
The BBQ sausage isn't that nice and the roasted pork was just ok. Can get better roasted pork in other places.
