Raymond Lam wasn't able to fling off Miriam Yeung's tight grasp

Last night, Miriam Yeung and Raymond Lam were on the streets pushing and pulling for a dating scene in their new film "Perfect Wedding" directed by Barbara Wong. As the weather was cold, before the two started shooting they were buried under heavy coats and often drank hot tea to stay warm. When it was time to shoot, Miriam and Raymond were on the streets pulling and pushing, then Raymond made up with her again, looks just like Miriam and her husband Real Ting's warm relationship, then the couple took a stroll together.

Newly wed, Miriam has been trapped in a sweet marriage and is especially into shooting love scenes. In another scene, when Raymond flinged off her hand in one go, Miriam immediately took it back and held onto his hand tightly. In the end, they embraced sweetly. Perhaps its just been too long since they last worked together, or that it was the first day of work and its not often that Raymond does movies, so their chemistry hasn't kicked in yet since they NGed quite a bit.

At 9pm, Miriam's fans especially came to the set with a cake to celebrate her birthday early, which is on February 3rd. Miriam was extremely happy, she quickly cut the cake with fans and blew the candles. A sudden happy birthday party was held on the set.

Raymond Lam admits he is qualified for award; TVB Executives said results are deserved

TVB and HKRIA's copyright disputes still have not been settled yet, last night the singers under the Big 4 record companies all ate the "white fruit" together at the "JSG Best Ten Music Awards 2009". EEG was the big winner of the night getting 19 awards total, while TVB "biological son" Raymond Lam leaped becoming the new "Asia-Pacific Most Popular HK Male Singer", which was the most controversial scene. When he accepted the award, boos were heard among the audience. It was said that other record companies who won less awards were dissatisfied with result. But, Raymond said that at the time he was so shocked that he couldn't hear the boos. Having the self-confidence, large number of fans, he is qualified for the award. TVB Executive expressed in support that all the winners deserved their awards.

Even before the award ceremony, TVB announced that even if the Big 4 singers do not attend the ceremony, if they receive an award it will still be presented to them, however that was not true in reality. TVB senior manager of arts and music (Chan Ka Yeung) insisted that the Big 4 singers did not have any awards and that the results had nothing to do with their absence! (Does Eason Chan not deserve an award?) He said: "The votes were like that, so no award! (How are the votes counted?) The results are based on the viewers, general assembly's review and the music department." Towards the rumors that the other record companies with less awards were in dissatisfaction of the results and that the "Asia-Pacific Male Singer" award should have gone to Hacken Lee? Mr. Chan denied: "Dissatisfaction? Which record company? And how did this rumor start!"

Raymond admitting that winning the "Asia-Pacific" award was a surprise and that singers under Big 4 absent from the ceremony probably had an impact on the results; However, he personally has been working really hard every year. (Does Raymond feel that he got the award too early?) He said that he has set a good foundation in the last 11 years, he has lots of fans both in and outside of HK, it just that he was focused more on TV series and just recently started singing. (Is he afraid to be criticize that TVB is biased towards him?) He said he never thought about it, winning an award proves that he doesn't just know how to act. (Did he hear the boos when he accepted the award?) He expressed that he didn't hear them, at that moment he felt numb on stage and had no response, he only heard that there were sounds everywhere, but definitely not boos.

Companies Dissatisfied with JSG Award Results

Since TVB's controversy with HKRIA has not been solved yet, artists under the four record labels were left "empty-handed" at TVB's Jade Solid Gold Ceremony. EEG became the biggest winner with 19 awards. TVB's "son" Raymond Lam even won the Asia-Pacific Hong Kong Male Singer award. When he accepted the award, booing was heard from the audience. It is said that the record companies that didn't win as many awards were dissatisfied with the award results. Raymond admit that he was so shocked that he didn't hear the boos. TVB says he has a good foundation and alot of fans so he well deserved the award.

Before the ceremony, TVB said they will give the awards as usual no matter if the singers are under the four companies. However, it is obvious that it did not happen. TVB Arts & Music manager Chen Ying Kin insisted that those singers just didn't win any awards and it has nothing to do with whether they attend or not. Is it that Eason Chan does not deserve an award? He said, "He has no award because of the scoring results! (How are the scores calculated?) It is determined by the audience and review by the assembly." There were rumors that some companies were not satisfied with the results and that the Asia-Pacific Hong Kong Male Singer award should be awarded to Hacken Lee. He denied it and said, "Dissatisfied? Which company? It's another rumor!"

TVB producer and director Virginia Lok expressed her complete satisfaction with the results since even Eric Tsang said everyone is happy. Many singers that have done alot but haven't been able to win any awards in the past, were able to win some at JSG this year. When asked whether the Asia-Pacific Hong Kong Male Singer award should have belonged to Hacken, she said, "No, I reviewed the scoring results and it is Raymond." It is said that because the four companies did not attend, EEG was able to obtain more awards? She said, "You can't say that. Even if the four companies don't exist, Joey Yung and Leo Ku should definitely have awards. I hope everyone can respect the results." When asked whether singers under the four companies are eligible to participate in the Jade Solid Gold seasonal rounds next year, she responded that she will see next year. This controversy is between two companies so it shouldn't cause the singers to feel embarassed. Alot of singers have a very good relationship with TVB privately.

Raymond Lam admitted that he was surprised to win the Asia-Pacific Hong Kong Male Singer award and that the absense of the four companies did somewhat affect the results. But he also insisted that he works very hard each year. When asked if he thought it was too early for him to win this award, he said he has made a good foundation for himself these past 11 years and there are also alot of fans in and out of Hong Kong. It's just that he focused on acting before and started singing recently. Is he afraid of the media saying that TVB helped him win the award? He said he hasn't thought about it. Winning the award proves that he is not only good at acting. Did he hear the boos from the audience? He expressed that he did hear sounds from his surroundings but it certainly were not boos.

Last night at the celebration banquet, TVB did not invite all of the singers to celebrate. Only Leo Ku, Miriam Yeung, Raymond Lam, and Joey Yung were invited on stage. Raymond and Joey's fans also prepared champagne for them to celebrate. Kate Tsui's fans were also gathered on the streets, but because there were too many people, the police had to give them a warning.

Raymond Lam shared his success of music venture with his fans

Raymond Lam had a gathering at his "Fan Club" yesterday. Raymond revealed that he hasn't had a birthday party with his fans for two years now. Nearly 200 local and overseas fans turned up for his party. Raymond had a birthday cake made by his fans for this special occasion. Apart from having his pictures taken with his fans, Raymond also received a lot of presents from them. Talking about the success of his music venture for the past year, Raymond took the opportunity to thank his fans and share his happiness with them. He said 2009 was a fruitful year, he had good feedback for his music and his concert at The Hong Kong Coliseum was a success. He is hoping he can hold another concert next year.

Raymond will be working on two movies at the end of this month despite his busy schedule with his musical career. The cast of the movies have not be announced yet. Since "Stolen Love", 7 to 8 years ago, Raymond hasn't worked on a movie for a long time. Therefore, he considers himself as a new comer to the movie industry.

The other singers who have been selected include Charlene Choi, Joey Yung, Leo Koo, Eason Chan, Kat Tse, Hins Cheung, Mr., Khalil Fong, Mariam Yeung, Ivana Wong, G.E.M and Janice Vidal. Raymond disclosed that he was surprised when he heard that he has been selected. He only found that out on New Year's Eve. He said it was a pity that he couldn't receive the award personally in Hong Kong as he had already arranged to participate the New Year count down show in Macau.

Raymond is planning to release his mandarin album in March this year. He revealed that many year ago, as he was in the mainland doing TV series, he was hoping that he could do some promotion in some cities in the mainland. He goes to Shanghai and Beijing a lot, but he really wants to go to some smaller cities to thank his fans personally for their support.
