Linda Chung supports Raymond Lam : Still young

Earlier before this TVB's "biological son" Raymond Lam received negative comments and Virginia Lok, Mrs. Fong immediately stood up to give him support. As a rumoured girlfriend, Linda Chung said that no matter how bad is Raymond's ticket sales, she would still support him and said that Raymond is still young, just do his best in his part is enough.

Yesterday TVB's fa dan Linda Chung, Jennifer Tse, Jacqueline Chong and Wong Yuen Yuen were at a household event organised by HomeSquare, wearing dresses based on household theme. Linda Chung appeared with her crystal lighting dress, Jennifer wore a sexy dress, and Wong Yuen Yuen who did breast enlargement wore a "bed" themed dress on stage.

Earlier before this Lawrence Wong pointed that Raymond was the cause of the poor box office. After that Virginia Lok brought Mrs. Fong's letter with words of encouragement to give support to Raymond Lam making Raymond to get teary. Linda Chung said, "It is very touching for Mrs. Fong to write letter to any artist, she always love us. As an artist, the most important is to do our best, the rest we can't control." Linda continued saying, "A film cannot represent everything, Raymond is still young, I'm not professional and I don't know how to differentiate, I only know how to do my best, definitely there would still be people who would appreciate and don't appreciate me." She also expressed that although she was very busy and didn't have the time to watch Raymond's new film, but she would still buy the disc to watch to support.

Raymond Lam teary eyes after getting note of encouragement from Mrs. Fong

Since producer Lawrence Wong said Raymond Lam led the box office to do poorly and basically said that he can't support the market, Raymond has not responded because he's been working in Mainland. Last night, Raymond was one of the guest performers at the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2010 held in Tianjin. Accompanied by TVB executive Virgina Lok, Raymond meets the media and responded to the news for the first time.

Raymond said that he has not seen the reports, but it was only this year that he stepped into the film scene, so he is willing to accept all comments and promises to continue his hard work. He said: "I was never upset. I found out about the news because someone told me, but comments and evaluations from my seniors will help me think where I need to improve." Later, Miss Lok handed Raymond a book, where there was a note personally written by 6th Aunt (Mona Fong) attached inside. The note read: "Have no fear of gossips, favorable criticisms are acclaimed, continue to achieve better results." Seeing his boss's support for him, Raymond had teary eyes on the spot.

Speaking of this year's popular discussions on Moses Chan and Wayne Lai battling for TV King, Raymond frankly said that every year he looks at it like something normal. Though he has been in the industry for more than 10 years, but there are many TVB seniors around, as a junior he only needs to focus on his own part. He said: "Mrs. Fong sent me a note of encouragement, I really felt surprised, didn't know how to react, I couldn't believe that she notices my work. Before many seniors said they bleed TVB's blood, now I finally understand, having such a good boss watching over me and being so understanding, my competitive heart really came back! Ask me if I have confidence to win the award? I say yes I do!"

Miss Lok expressed that she intends to urge her artists and colleagues to quit drinking. As for Lawrence Wong exposing the inside story within the company while drunk, she said: "It's only called the inside story if it's true. (The truth comes out after drinking!) It's not true. (Was Mrs. Fong upset?) I report everything that happens in the company to her weekly, she understands what's going on. The incident that happened that day I only knew after reading the paper. I had to calm down and look at it a second time, not emotional, not angered, just felt that it's a huge problem."

Director: Raymond Lam has potential to be Tony Leung's successor

Raymond Lam and Miriam Yeung starred in "Perfect Wedding", a romantic movie directed by Wong Zhen Zhen. Reported earlier made a distance phone interview with the famous female director.

Wong Zhen Zhen gives people the impression of being hearty, straight forward. There were people from the industry who pointed that Raymond in (Perfect Wedding) has successfully brought out the charm in him. Towards this, Wong Zhen Zhen did not hesitate and laughingly said, "I think that Raymond Lam has the potential to be Tony Leung Chiu Wai's successor, but he needs to take it slowly, he has just officially started this year, my job is to bring out the charm in him, if he is willing to put in more effort, open up himself, it's might be possible.

"The current Raymond Lam that we see has only shown 30% of his ability, he has more than this."

Wong Zhen Zhen frankly said, everytime when she films, she would look for the lead roles for a drink and chit chat, getting more familiar with each other is easier to understand their inner thoughts. She did not feel that Raymond Lam has "prince disease", whereas Miriam, she worked even harder to bring out the 3D (different personalities) in the role.

"Perfect Wedding talks about sister-brother love. Miriam Yeung who married Real Ding in reality who is 5 years younger than her, when she received the script she immediately asked me ' is this writing about me' ?"

While talking, Wong Zhen Zhen told the reporter something hilarious, "Before filming intimate scenes Raymond and Miriam hesitated, because he is very close with Miriam's husband, Real Ding, saying that when filming the intimate scenes would be very awkward, so I suggested him: " Why not you give a call to her husband and talk for a bit, couldn't believe he said "okay", don't know if the two guys did successfully "discuss" in the end, haha..."

Asking about "sister-brother" love, Wong Zhen Zhen who has attractive appearance expressed, if this year she is only 18 years old she would definitely reject this type of relationship, her target must definitely be more matured than her, can provide her material things, but at this stage she feels that being happy is enough, elder or younger isn't a problem at all.

"A lady also hopes to find a man who is energetic and lively, and not a man who would just stay home and watch the TV, wouldn't that be boring?"

Model Chrissie Chau highly praised Raymond Lam for his soft lips, it's very comfortable when kissing him!

According to Hong Kong's news, Chrissie Chau, Raymond Lam and Miriam Yeung appeared at press conference for the movie yesterday, Chrissie Chau frankly said that she deeply missed the kissing scene with Raymond Lam and also praised Raymond, "nice to kiss", and exposed that when she was filming she fell in love with him!

Chrissie Chau said in the cinema when she was watching her intimate scenes with Raymond Lam she felt abit choked: "He's nice to kiss, when filming I also fell for him abit."

The magazine's reporter asked "Perfect Wedding's" director Wong Zhen Zhen, when she accepted the interview she pointed, "Chrissie Chau is currently very hot(high popularity) in Hong Kong, previously I bumped into her in a public event, I felt that she is just a model, she has her own character, after working together only I realised that she's very smart!"

Raymond Lam breaks the "good person" image for new drama "Ad Mania"

Yesterday afternoon, modern drama Ad Mania an inspirational drama about the life of advertisements in the workplace held a press conference hosted by COSTA Cruise in Huangpu River. The drama is directed by Hong Kong director Yip Chiu Yi and stars TVB popular Siu Sang Raymond Lam, Joe Ma, Tang Yan and Ran Chen. Recently, the "flying in space" Raymond has been appearing in Shanghai very often for work purposes, he frankly said that this time in Ad Mania, he'll be turning his on-screen 'good person' image into a 'half good half evil', a whole new role.

Filming will split into three seasons with a total of 80 episodes. Hong Kong golden director (Yip Chiu Yi) has made many classic films and series, like Looking Back In Anger and the The Greed Man. This time Directr Yip will personally do the work, compared to other simple workplace idol dramas, Ad Mania is a rare drama that mirrors the reality of the selling and advertising market.

As TVB's popular Siu Sang, Raymond has in fact been long promoted for TVB's new generation "First Brother". But, Raymond expressed: "TVB has never had the so-called first or second brother. We are a big family." Recently, Raymond's Growing Through Life broadcast in both Mainland and Hong Kong, but the TV ratings were not too satisfying. Initially hoping to take the TVB's TV King title, looks like Raymond's been affected by the series. Raymond expressed: "The theme of this drama is more serious and heavy. Not everyone is interested in that particular subject matter, but this cannot be controlled by the artists. I am just doing my best on my own part. Also not all series that artists film are going to be trendy or have good response. It is more important to learn something new and be able to develop yourself through acting."

As to accepting this drama Ad Mania, Raymond had only looked at the story outline, he frankly said that his role this time is very different from before. His "good person" image will change into "half good, half evil", he said: "My character is very career-minded, he has strong principles, but sometimes in order to reach his goal, he will use some tactics, a little selfish, is very realistic A very realistic role." Raymond also reveals that actually he really hopes to portray someone who is so evil that people will clincg their teeth, even someone that is a slight psychopath. But unfortunately, until now no one has asked him to portray this type of role.

Raymond Lam admitted to hospital

Raymond Lam who has been busy with filming was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He was accompanied by his father to receive further treatment. The doctor diagnosed that he has cervical displacement. His bones were protruding his nerves, therefore he needed to stay in the hospital to get a detailed check-up. Because of this, he also missed the selection for Jade Solid Gold.

After his concert, Raymond has been working non-stop. Recently, he's collaborating with Charmaine Sheh to film their new series, "Colorful World of Sister Fa". Maybe it was because previously when he was training in his dance, he was hurt but did not receive proper treatment, and he overworked himself, finally his body could not take it. Raymond felt dizzy when he got up but he still wanted to continue working. At about noon, he couldn't move his neck and was sent to hospital, accompanied by his father.

Doctor said that Raymond has cervical displacement, causing his bones protruding his nerves, therefore it affected his neck's movements. Doctor advised him to stay in the hospital for further observation for 2 days. He was supposed to attend selection for Jade Solid Gold and was expected to get 1 and a half awards. In the end, he had to miss the event. An executive revealed that Raymond was injured and expressed that he's resting in the hospital now. The inital plan for him to duet live with Ah Sa had to be canceled. However, during the show, Raymond who was bedridden talked about his condition through the phone, he said, " I'm sorry I couldn't make it to come, but now my neck can move a little bit, maybe because recently my work has affected my old injury, I promise everyone that I'll recover soon."

Joey Yung, Miriam Yeung and Ah Sa attended the event and expressed that they were worried about Raymond Lam, Joey said, " I haven't asked about him yet, I just knew about it, hopefully he'll love his fans more, don't let them get worried of him." (Do you feel it's a price to pay for popularity?) "Everyone knows he's the most famous, it's the price to pay for the most famous." A Ah Sa said, " Ya, that's why we won't duet." Miriam expressed that she would call to ask him about his condition and would also introduce a good doctor to him.

Prince Fung collaborates with 10 years old mental disable Ah Sheh

Almost every Siu Sang that has collaborated with Charmaine Sheh has got rumours with her, but she seemed to have no fate with Raymond Lam. The both of them would collaborate again in their new series and Raymond Lam hoped that the rumours would help to prove his charm. Ah Sheh said that she doesn't dare to dislike Raymond.

Charmaine Sheh, Raymond Lam, and Toby Leung attended the praying ceremony for Colorful Life of Sister Fa yesterday. In the series, Ah Sheh plays the role of a 10 years old mental disabled person. She had to cut her hair short and looked like she was mentally disabled. She also went to the school for mental disabled kids to interact with the children to learn more. In every series that Ah Sheh films, there would be rumours with the actor, however in her previous collaboration with Raymond Lam in Drive of Life, there was no rumours about them. Raymond joked and said, " Before this I collaborated with her, but she was rumoured with someone else, I really need to examine myself again, maybe I'm not charming enough, there should be rumours in this series la!" Ah Sheh explained that it was the media's problem that she and Raymond did not have rumours, "It's good that there wasn't any rumours!" (Are you afraid that there will be rumours saying you dislike Raymond?) "Why would I dislike Prince Fung? We have collaborated a lot and knew each other for a long time, most important is we collaborated well."

There was hope for Raymond Lam to get the TV King award, but unfortunately his new series ( Growing Through Life) did not receive good ratings, he expressed that he was abit disappointed, " Disappointed of course, I took 5 months to film this series, I also had to prepare for concert, it was quite tough filming it, I feel there's unfamiliar Mainland artists, Mainland also broadcasted the series earlier than us so it affects the ratings as well." ( Affecting you in competing for TV King?) "Don't start this too fast la! Don't start this on me again. Every year I don't know what should I say, I really want to concentrate on my own work." (Feel pressured?) "Concentrate too much on TV King I'm afraid you all would be bored."

Besides this, although Can't Buy Me love received good ratings, Ah Sheh said that because of the Manila's incident, everyone was not in the mood to celebrate, and Phillipine's mourning cannot compensate anything! She hopes that Can't Buy me Love would bring joy and comfort to audiences.

Found this love letter while I was cleaning my cupboard. Sweet.....but I don't remember from who...lol..must be some joke..

To my love,

How have you been during my absence? Have you been missing me? For me time was taking, making every second seem like a minute, stretching every moment and time for my next meeting with you. Ah Sa Once Bitten Twice Shy, Raymond Lam rather get a "Ah Sei" (maid)

Recently, in EEG and Shaw Brothers' joint collaborated film The Jade and the Pearl starring Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Raymond Lam are involved in a square of love, but in real life both expressed that they absolutely cannot accept it. Ah Sa frankly said a friend of hers experienced this type of relationship and eventually had to accept 'as long as the man knows where home is', making Ah Sa feel helpless. She said: "In this kind of situation, no matter how much I love the man, I will still immediately leave heartlessly. Perhaps because I'm a Scorpio, when I love someone I will give my whole self to love him, but at the same time I hold a strong strength. I want to be my other half's only one and I have to be his only one."

A Listener is enough

Raymond has not been in a relationship since college, he basically expressed he won't start a confusing relationship. Although he has always hoped for a romantic relationship, when he thinks about his tight work schedule then he will naturally take a step back and does not have to the courage to start. He joked: "Before I talked about girlfriends with Ron Ng and we joked that in this industry, we want a 'maid' (Ah Sei) more than a girlfriend!"

After Ah Sa's 4 year marriage with Ronald Cheng ended, she began to have a new view on love. She expressed that she is currently living comfortably and is not forcing anything or causing tensions. However when asked about starting a family, Ah Sa said with hesitation: "I don't know either, after one marriage experience, both of us has learned mutual trust and to keep a promise, but in reality that really caused a lot of problems. So I will not deliberately wish for it anymore. (Do you really enjoy the single life now?) I enjoy everything, now I am not afraid that anything will affect me because I'll go talk to someone about it, but do not need any comfort. It is enough to have a listener, I know I can get better slowly because I have never forced myself into a death path, commiting suicide that kind."

Body like an old granny

Raymond and Ah Sa have been in the industry for more than 10 years, though they do have the fame and wealth, but behind the scenes they really sacrificed a lot. Raymond said: "Actually I'm quite contradictory. Before I really wanted to earn more money, so my family won't have any worries or burdens in life, but eventually I discovered that I missed a lot of time!" As for Ah Sa's health getting weaker in the past year, she said: "For my current illness, it is hard to get better, before I would never miss any public events that I attend alone. But there was one time I was going to fly to Shanghai for an event, when I reached the airport, I really couldn't hold it anymore and had turn around, singing and filming are my ideals, but if my health is not good then I can't do anything. Now, my body is like an old granny, so now I do want to rest more."

Although some people say how many ten years are there in life, to the entertainment circle artists like Raymond and Ah Sa, money is not what they currently want to pursue in life, Raymond said: "These days, my work schedule is allocated well, I hope to have more time to spend with my family. Daddy and Mommy are starting to get older, I really hope to take them on a trip around the world next year." Turns out that since Raymond's entry into the industry, the further family vacation they have been on is Shantou. If his parents wants to see him, they will just have to fly to the location of where Raymond is doing stage work, their time spent together is just limited to a having a meal.

Having said that, Raymond could not help but blame himself, he said: "My parents don't need my money, it is not money that will satisfy them, so I want to take Mom out for clothes shopping because when we were young it is Mom who bought us clothes, although it is something small, I believe that will make her really happy! (So little time to see each other, tell your parents to live with you?) Because my parents have business in Mainland, can't come back to Hong Kong to live, but we do have family meetings, talk about some of our big plans, it is not that we don't have communication."

Give up on pursing fame and fortune

Ah Sa said she has intentions of letting go of fame and fortune, taking a year off to rest and recover her health. Although a year time can really change a lot, Ah Sa frankly said 'can't worry too much': "Well fate destined me this occupation, I am dedicated to giving to performing arts, even if I'm done resting, I will continue. I remember last year the most serious was when I collapsed on the ground, it is frighten. I am personally low on blood sugar and often get stomach cramps. Before I faint, I usually know it's coming, but that time I really couldn't have guessed. The doctor said that there is no medicine to prevent this too!"

Madly spending money all in one go

Raymond was born to a wealthy family, Ah Sa grew up in a well-off family. Towards money, both of them have the same opinions. Ah Sa exposed that a colleague teased that she's stingy, she said: "Besides the great cost of buying house and car, I feel that using 10 dollars to buy something is already really expensive to me. Mani always tells me to buy a diamond to hold value, saying that within a year the diamond will be greater in value, but I feel that it's not necessity!"

But someone who loves her family, Ah Sa frankly said she spends a lot on her family and is absolutely willing to. Earlier Ah Sa's grandfather was seriously ill, while she was busy with work and couldn't go see him. So to take advantage of time, she broke off her stingy personality and went on a direct flight on a helicopter to Macau hospital to see her beloved grandfather. She said: "Not even a week I spent 50,000 dollars, but my family did not mind! Because I am very close with my family, even if we don't see ach other, we often talk on the phone. My dad recently even started playing with Weibo, so we can communicate through that network."

Have always lived in luxury provided by his parents, Raymond recently used his 10 year savings to purchase a 20 million, more than 1000 sq ft luxury home in the Western District and then bought a Maserati sports car for over a million dollars as a way to reward himself. Raymond said: "Haha! Usually I don't really have the opportunity to spend money, this time I emptying my pockets all in one go, have to start saving all over again!"

Another guest, Ron Ng also battle danced with Raymond. Kate Tsui and female dancers also joined along, Raymond Lam then said, "Thank you so much to these two brothers, I don't treat Kate as a girl."

Raymond also went down the stage to shake hands with fans, all his fans rushed to the front, the situation was in a mess. There was also a female fan who took the opportunity to get nearer to Raymond , wanting to help her idol to wipe his sweat. Raymond then chose a female fan up on stage. A bed was built on the stage, the both of them pretend to linger, Raymond then ride on the female fan's body causing the audiences to shout aloud.

Other than that, Raymond also invited Kelly Chen to be his special guest, and the two of them sang a duet song, "Shui Yuen Fang Shou" . The artistes who supported were Chrissie Chau, Stephanie Zheng and others.

Raymond Lam's bitter love for "Retarded Sheh" trying for TV King

Raymond Lam is TVB's favorite for heavy promotions. He gets to lead many series and open concerts, taking the spotlight in two areas. TVB also made arrangements for Raymond's drama "Growing Through Life" as this year's TVB anniversary series and decided to pair him up with Charmaine Sheh for a new series. TVB is working their way in pushing Raymond up for TV King.

TVB is really making Raymond in power this year, having him in series and movies one after another. After "The Mysteries of Love", his other series "Growing Through Life" will be broadcast as the anniversary series. By the end of the month, he'll be holding his 4 night concert as well as release his new movie "The Emerald and The Pearl" with Charlene Choi, Joey Yung and Wong Cho Lam, schedule to release on August 5th. Although Raymond's popularity skyrockets, TVB still wants to maintain Raymond's momentum during the TVB anniversary award celebrations, so they scheduled Raymond to start a new series in mid-August, keeping his first line Siu Sang status and popularity.

After his collaboration with Charmaine Sheh in 2007's "The Drive of Life", they will collaborate again in a new series. It was said that the series will start in mid-August. This time, Charmaine makes a breakthrough as she plays a 10 year old mentally challenged girl. As for Raymond, he plays a rich prodigal boy. Although he's very familiar with this type of role, he'll eventually experience poverty and finally become a motivated young man. In the series, Charmaine and Raymond will develop a relationship. Earlier Charmaine visited schools for the mentally challenged children to learn more about her role. Portraying this role will be a great challenge in acting for Charmaine.

Charmaine Sheh to Portray Mentally Challenged Girl; Will Partner With Raymond Lam Again

Several years ago, Roger Kwok Chung On gained immense popularity by portraying mentally challenged characters inSquare Pegs "戆夫成龙" and Life Made Simple "阿旺新傳". Next month, Charmaine Sheh Si Man will also have the opportunity to play a mentally challenged character in the upcoming series, The Colorful World of Sister Fa "花花世界花家姐", which will also star Raymond Lam Fung. Allegedly, Charmaine’s role will be very high profile and may even help her win the Best Actress Award again.

After filming Justice, My Foot "審死官" with Roger Kwok, Charmaine will shoot for twenty-episode series, The Colorful World of Sister Fa. As a delivery girl working at a restaurant, Charmaine’s character will have the mental capability of a ten-year-old girl. In the inspiring series, despite Charmaine’s mental disability, she faces life’s obstacles with perseverance. Her younger sister, Toby Leung Ching Kei, will be bullied by her supervisor at work, Raymond Lam. To protect Toby, Charmaine will work at the same company. As a spoilt rich heir, Raymond throws away the family fortune and in his impoverished state, falls in love with Charmaine.

Producer Kwan Wing Chung said, “Mentally challenged characters offer a great opportunity for actors. Charmaine is still filming in China now. Before leaving China , she will visit a school with mentally disabled children to gather research for the role.”

Raymond Lam Happy to Play Spoilt Heir

Raymond Lam said that he was unafraid that Charmaine will steal the limelight in The Colorful World of Sister Fa. “I always wanted to play flawed characters, to increase my acting versatility. If the audience hates the actor after watching the series, [the portrayal was successful] and I would be happy from an acting standpoint.”
Last year, Raymond and Charmaine wore matching outfits at a promotional function, sparking romantic rumors. Raymond said, “We will not have any more matching outfits, since I have my own clothing sponsor now. Due to our numerous past collaborations, I know Charmaine very well and am unafraid of rumors.”

Heavily promoted by TVB, Raymond’s new series Growing Through Life "摘星之旅" will be broadcast in August. Currently, he is rehearsing for his upcoming July concert. Yesterday, he was practicing with Kate Tsui Chi San and Ron Ng Cheuk Hei, who will be guest performers at the concert. Raymond thanked Kate and Ron for their participation. Ron said, “I should thank Raymond instead for allowing me the chance to perform at the concert. As his friend, I am happy about his upcoming concert.”

Raymond Lam uses "lan gag" to fight for TV King

The recent highly popular Raymond Lam has been really having a lot of news, besides being said that he would have a chance to compete against Chris Lai for TV King, it was also rumoured that his concert's date was clashed with Miss Hong Kong, hence there was no hope for an additional session to be added. Regarding the different rumours, Raymond appeared to be calm. Speaking about Wayne Lai's (One Mountain cannot have Two Tigers), Raymond plays "lan gag" and pointed that he is only a "horse that's willing to run", very humourous.

Raymond Lam, Gigi Leung and a few others were recording for Jade Solid Gold yesterday. Raymond who will be having concert at the end of this month, about the news rumours that Miss Hong Kong which has problems with their venue has to re-schedule to be held back at Hong Kong Coliseum, making Raymond's dreams to have an additional session to vanish. However, when reporters asked Raymond in detail, he did not seem to know about it, :"You need to ask the executives about this." It might be possible to add a session before the first day, however looking at the Hong Kong Coliseum's booking, there will be Alan Tam's concert held on the 24th, therefore there needs to be some time in between for re-building of the stage, probably Raymond's hope for an additional session would not come true.

Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui hot dancing

Yesterday night, Raymond Lam and his guest, Kate Tsui were practising their dance for Raymond's concert which will be held end of this month. The both of them were hot dancing, bending their waists and holding neck. Raymond also put his hands in front of Kate's chest, his actions were brave. Raymond who has worked several times with Kate expressed that he would not be shy. Kate also revealed that one of the action is easy to "run light": "The actions are quite big, that's why when we try on the costume we have to really check properly." About the rumours with Joe Ma, Kate helplessly said, " There is no need to say much, everyone understands, just take it as a joke."

Raymond Lam: Lacks a Lover

Referring Raymond Lam as "Loved by All" is definitely not exaggerated. He has a wealthy family background, successful career, so good at acting and singing he gets complete support. However, what about relationships? Speaking of his "Miss Right" after his one and only rumored girlfriend Linda Chung, there was no one else. Raymond laughed out loud in his response: "My mom asked me when I'm going to get a girl... Can't rush these things, one day I will have a family of my own, just I don't know when." Life is like that, not perfect.

Speaking of his rumored girlfriend Linda Chung in the past year, he said: "It's quite funny talking about it. Honestly, I never dated Linda. It's less than 5 times that I spoke to her on the phone. And when we do, it's mainly on what time we're filming tomorrow or say a Thank You after shooting a MV. But such simple thing can lead to such big rumors, even people from overseas believed it. They called me and asked if I was dating? If the rumors continue like this, I'm afraid the public will think it's true, then no one will want to get near me."

[Oriental Daily 7/9/10] In another interview, Raymond admits that he did have 'good feelings' towards Linda. He said: "Because we were filming series together, I have talked to Linda on the phone. As partners in a series and for filming purposes, I did have 'good feelings' for her. (Qualify your girlfriend requirements?) No, our personalities do not match. I only can treat her as a friend and little sister, I won't have love feelings for her." Plans to be married at age 35, Raymond lets go of many of his requirements for a girlfriend, he said: "I only look for someone with an attractive appearance and that we feel comfortable being together."

Currently in his career, it is the time to work the hardest. Raymond frankly said that each day, all his time is put on work, he has a very tight schedule, so he's always been teased that his life is very 'dry'. Although he's not in a rush to find his 'goddess', but every parent is worried about their children. Raymond said: "My parents have never given me pressure. If I do have a girlfriend, I will introduce her to my family, let her meet my parents. But my mom teases me too, she asked when I'm going to get a girl. I guess if this goes on, she'll make arrangements to match-make me with someone. However, for match-making I need to ask my company to see if it's okay first. I personally feel that you can't force relationships. If I go and force a relationship now, but have no time to develop it, then it's not fair to my other half. I won't think too much now, when fate comes then I'll figure it out."

Democratic Parents

Raymond's father Lam Wah Kwok (Lin HuaGuo) has a real estate business in Mainland. Asked if his father is worried about his love life? He said: "My dad never asked me about my relationships. I guess he cares more about if I'll be able to help him with the family business in the future instead. Although he never directly said that, every parent wants their own son or daughter to be by their side more often. But from another point of view, he saw that my career is getting better and better in the recent year, my family has always been democratic, my parents continuously encourage and support my showbiz career."

Speaking of his career, television series he accepts one after another. Last year he focused on singing, this year he's holding another concert, Raymond frankly said he's really lucky: "But I know just luck won't get you anywhere, so the most important thing is your personal hard work because when more opportunities are offered to you, then you'll be ready for it. Opportunities and Luck landing on your hands is meaningless, how a company pushes you is useless and not convincing when your not ready for it." But this year TVB presented him the [Asia-Pacific Most Popular Male Singer] award, stirring up many different comments by the public, does he feel that the love TVB has for him actually became harmful instead? He said: "My entry into the industry is an opportunity TVB gave me, whatever they decide, I will accept it and trust them. A large company like TVB, before a decision is made, it has to go through many people. As an artist, we really don't have think so much about it, focus on doing our best. Different comments will help push myself to do better in the future. Today, whatever I'm unsatisfied with, I definitely will work until it gets better. There will always be stress, but what’s most important is that I'm clear on every step I take."

This year Raymond is earning a lot from his jobs, was he rewarding himself by buying a 200 million car and luxury home? Raymond said: "Before I got this new one, I used my previous car for 10 years. Compared to other people changed their cars several times in a few years is not considered bad, for me I've been in the industry for 12 years, such a big boy now, not having plans on buying my own home, then I'm really not thinking straight!" Prince Lam, you do have a point there!

Raymond Lam dare not look at "Low V" Miss Hong Kong

Raymond Lam and 10 finalists of Miss Hong Kong gathered at Tuen Mun to shoot Raymond's 3D MV (Come 2 Me) which will be aired in his upcoming concert. The pretty girls were in Low V, while Raymond was taking a rest to wipe his sweat, he did not even peek at them and looked steadily forward.

Raymond laughed and said, "There's reporters here, I dare not look." (Found any you like?) "I don't remember any." (Leaving target for yourself?) "Don't joke! I know you're laughing at me and Linda Chung, but she's not Miss Hong Kong, she's Miss Chinese International." (Very familiar with Linda's background?) "Previously I wanted to look for some ex-Miss Hong Kong for shooting, I knew because someone mentioned it." (TVB even gave you Miss Hong Kong's session dates?) "I grew up in TVB, eversince I've stepped in the industry, company has been giving me alot of good things, taking good care of me! I have to do my best to return these blessings to company."

Labels: "The Mysteries of Love" highest rating celebration: Finale 38 points, peaks at 42

Raymond Lam, Kenneth Ma, Tavia Yeung and Bernice Liu attended a celebration for their high rated series (Mysteries of Love). The finale episode received the highest ratings so far, averaging 38 points and peaking at 42 points. On stage, Raymond was requested to treat everyone for a trip to Thailand. He fought back saying that he never seen Kenneth do any treating.
.
Kenneth said Raymond is going to have a concert soon, earning lots of money, but Raymond doesn't show his weakness as he said: "I heard Kenneth Ma also got himself a new car. I really never said that I'll treat a trip to Thailand, but I should treat everyone to a meal. However, have to wait until I finish my concert first. (Is Kenneth cheap?) I don't know how to say it, I done the treating numerous times, just too many times. Kenneth is not cheap, he's a good man!"
.
(Mysteries) has always been criticized of copying Japanese drama (Detective Galileo), coincidentally TVB is currently airing the drama again. Raymond said: "I'm not afraid that viewers may find more similarities. (Is there going to a sequel?) I didn't agree to anything from Producer Lau Ka Ho. (How will you celebrate Virgina Lok's birthday?) Every year I'm always there for her, but the gift isn't. (Afraid of the ICAC, don't dare to give gifts?) No, maybe I'll treat her to dinner."
.
Tavia learned that (Detective Galileo) is broadcasting again on TVB, she joked: "That evil? Well it's good, I never watched it. Don't know if viewers will compare me to the series, but I think most housewives ('see lai') are asleep at that time. (Mysteries sequel?) The ending is already really good. If there is a sequel, hopefully there will be a whole new story. (Wait for more Japanese dramas to air, then copy some more?) Not necessary. Maybe the Japanese dramas copies us! I want to work with more male artists. I haven't kissed Takeshi Kaneshiro or Kevin Cheng before. The most recent one is Raymond Wong. His wife told me to play more with her husband. I won't get a few slaps from other people since I stamp collect and kiss fairly. (Work with your rumored boyfriend Chris Lai?) He's my good brother and good sister"

Raymond Lam buys luxury home Western Mid-Level; Wong Cho Lam suggests to name it "Raymond Lam"

Yesterday Raymond Lam and Wong Cho Lam attended a bank mortgage event. Earlier Raymond was said to have purchased a luxury home, he admits that he does make decent money.
.
Raymond reveals that he just bought a luxury home in the Western Mid-Level and greatly praised his new neighbourhood. Asked if the unit he purchased was really expensive? Raymond denied: "I've been in the industry for over 10 years, I'm considered late in buying a home. Buying a better place feels like my capabilities holds a slightly higher value." Asked if he's capable of paying a lump sum? He said: "Not realy, I just started earning a little more in the last few years." When reporters teased that he can pay a lump sum, Wong Cho Lam immediately interrupted: "How do you know how many buildings he has? Maybe it's located on the foot of a mountain, and even has the mountain side! (Do you envy?) Yes! Anything that Raymond has, like movies, girls and buildings, I want too. But he's selling his Hong Kong Coliseum tickets for $480, my tickets are only selling for $350. He's living in luxury on the mid-level, I'm just living in a unit in the city."
.
Wong Cho Lam says that buying a home, the first thing one needs is an admissions ticket. Currently, he's only able to look at Lau Fau Shan, not like Raymond who can live on mid-level. Cho Lam continued: "I've mentioned it to Louis Yuen and Johnson Lee before, how about we all invest in the "The 3 Gods Garden" land, looks like a memorial park? And then call it 'Raymond Lam'!" Asked if he'll add his girlfriend's name to his property? He expressed: "How can I disrespect my mother. Already letting her manage? We're financially independent. Until the last moment, it's best to have some kind of insurance."

Raymond Lam clarifies did not get 'jumpy' when holding Tavia Yeung's hand

Yesterday afternoon, Raymond Lam attended a Office Windows 2010 promotional event in West Kowloon. The temperature yesterday hit 34 degrees C, under the hot weather, he went on a helicopter and then held the ceremony at an open area. Raymond appeared to be sweating heavily on his back. Asked if his pay for this event is very high? Raymond did not answer directly, he only expressed that he's afraid of heights. He said: "I just looked at the scenery up in the air constantly. Usually at shopping mall events, I can't even look down the glass window on the 2nd or 3rd floor. But when shooting for costume series, I would get so into my heroic character that I'm not afraid anymore. One time when I was filming a modern series, I had to stick out half of my body of a 30+ floor building to save someone, I was really scared that time because it was modern, can't fly."

In Raymond's series (The Mysteries of Love), there was one part where he grabbed Tavia Yeung's hand and appeared 'jumpy' (TN: The Cantonese slang: "Dung L"). However yesterday at the event, flying up so high, he did not have that kind of reaction. He said: "That is absolutely not the case. Just that day during filming, the pants the crew gave me to wear was too tight, it was so tight that I couldn't buckle it together. Also, I believe it's a camera angle issue."

Late July, Raymond will be holding a concert in HK Coliseum. He reveals that he already recorded the theme song. He said: "This song is the sexiest one I sang so far. The meaning is beautiful and also very bold, I am personally looking forward to the performance. In my upcoming album, there will be many different genres and changes in my singing. "Asked if he's afraid of getting off-tune during his live singing? He said: "Not afraid! But forgetting the lyrics is what I fear most because I have to sing and dance at the same time."

[ORIENTAL DAILY] Tavia Yeung supports that Raymond Lam didn't get 'jumpy'. Tavia smiled: "I want to clarify for him, it was his pants that was too tight and he couldn't change it. He didn't get jumpy. This is the dignity of a man, a good thing. If he did then I would have moved away out fo sight. He didn't make an unwise move!" (Held your hand and got jumpy, you really are Sai Lei Mui!) It has nothing to do with me, nor does it have anything to do with him. It's the tight pants!"

Raymond Lam hot dance killing men and women

SuperVoice Hong Kong Coliseum Concert ended perfectly the night before yesterday. Guests who attended were such as " Fuk Luk Sau", Elisa Chan, and Raymond Lam. Louis Yuen, Wong Cho Lam, and Johnson Lee imitated the "evil" looks of Grasshopper, causing the event to be merrier.

Raymond Lam on the other hand hot danced with sexy female dancers and half naked male dancers killing both men and women. When asked about the reports saying that he snatched the dates for booking Hong Kong Coliseum from the Miss Hong Kong event, cable TV sent representative to clarify the matter saying, " Miss Hong Kong and Raymond's concert are different dates, there is no such thing as snatching the dates. There are some technical problems now, so Miss Hong Kong is not necessarily going to be held in Hong Kong Coliseum."

Linda Chung doesn't know Raymond Lam is Har Gau Chai

Earlier, there were reports by a magazine that Raymond Lam has a change in features, his chin getting sharper which looks like a shrimp dumpling (har gau). Rumoured girlfriend Linda Chung was present at a Po Leung Kuk event yesterday and was asked if she met Har Gau Chai recently. She misunderstood that Har Gau Chai is Kelly Chen's son and praised that he is very cute. Later she found out that the reporters meant Raymond Lam by saying Har Gau Chai, she laughed and said, Oh! You all are saying about the one with prince disease!"

Linda Chung admitted that she read the reports about Raymond Lam have a plastic surgery done. Because there are just problems with the angle of the pictures, she stressed that sometimes she can appear to have a shrimp dumpling chin too.

Perfect appearance, doesn't believe plastic surgery was done

Does she believe that Raymond really did plastic surgery to get his chin done? She said, " This is people's decision. I don't know. It's been very long since I met Raymond, but I believe he never did plastic surgery, he is already perfect, there is no need for it!" Linda was asked if she likes guys with shrimp dumpling chin, she happily said, " I feel it's very cute!" The reporters laughed and asked if Raymond did plastic surgery because of Linda, she laughed and said, " There are many foreigners who have shrimp dumpling chins too. She was asked if her the opposite sex has a shrimp dumpling chin, would she have better remarks of him, she only said, " So funny", and did not respond to the question.

Might have 3 kids in the future

Linda Chung expressed that she likes children, earlier she also sponsored a child through Po Leung Kuk but has not met up yet. Since she likes children so much, how many would she have in future, she said, " I always wanted to have more than 2 children, maybe 3!" Girl or boy doesn't matter, but I think grandmothers usually like grandson." When does she plan to have children? Linda said that she still have some time, " 1 in every year, I still have alot of time. Technology is so advanced today, older age ladies can have children too!"

Raymond Lam: Maybe the reports will say that I have breast implant

Raymond Lam appeared at Super Voice Hong Kong Coliseum concert yesterday, he was asked about the reports about his plastic surgery, he laughed and said, " I feel that the reports were hilarious, maybe I develop muscles, they will say that I have breast implant to be E cup God."

Raymond Lam & Tavia Yeung support new series, absolutely no plagiarism

TVB new series "The Mysteries of Love" have been strongly criticized by Netizens that the story plagiarized from Japanese drama "Detective Galileo". Regardless of the criticisms, the TV ratings have not been affected with many local TV series fans supporting the series. The first episode received 32 points on average. Yesterday the cast and crew held a celebration for the good ratings, Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung both supported the series expressing that the series had no plagiarism elements. Raymond supported the creativity, while Tavia felt that the love story is richer than the original version.

Raymond said: "For series, coming and going is the same few genres. The script to our series is quite creative, before shooting we were already criticized to have plagiarized, but the most important thing is that every role is portrayed differently and that audience like it." Have you seen the original Japanese drama? "No, I usually don't watch originals or remakes, otherwise my acting may slightly resemble the original. You have to tailor the character with your own style, including my older series "A Step Into the Past" is the same. Currently the producer is not encouraging us to watch it because the story is different."

Tavia said that when they started filming this series, people were already saying that the series is a copy. Although she hasn't seen the original, she still does not feel the series is a copy. Also the love story of the main leads in "Mysteries" is richer. Is she afraid Netizens might boycott the series? Tavia said: "No, since the first day people already said the two dramas are similar."
