Bernice Liu, Raymond Lam and Joe Ma are good friends and they are also under the same manager. The three of them were having an early Christmas celebration at a hotel restaurant. Dining with family is also as important as a happy family. I feel very forutnate to be in my family because they love me so much. My parents are considerate and understanding about my busy schedule and my brother and sister also take good care of themselves so that I don't have to worry about them. I treasure this a lot. They stand by me forever.

They understand that I'm busy and won't grumble that I don't have time for them. Hence, I'll dine with them whenever I have some free time to do so. My family is a bit interesting. My daddy is the one who's the best at cooking and cook most meals! If my brother and sister are also at home, we'll go shopping for the meal. I actually enjoy going to the market to buy stuff for dinner! My daddy will cook whatever we buy. I'm very happy in the way it is now.

Career

I stand where I'm at because of my career. I value my career a lot; however if I happen to get a job I don't quite like, I will start to get a bit lazy. I'm really lucky that I get a lot of support from the audience and others within my 10 years in the entertainment industry. In addition to drama, I also got a lot of other opportunities to try out different areas. I never dreamt of holding my first concert already within 2 years of releasing my first album. I thought it's a dream rather than reality.

Until the poster, advertisement were out and the tickets were sold out, I'm still telling others that it's like a joke. I can't quite believe it until all staff have been confirmed for the concert. Then I tell myself, "Oh really? I gotta believe and prepare for the concert. It's coming up."

I'll try my best on my music and acting career because I am interested in both acting and singing.

Health

Since I'm overloaded with work, I don't have meals at a regular time so it's not a healthy style of life. I don't care about this that much previously. In the past, whenever I shoot ancient dramas, I'll also try the dangerous action scenes too. So I got injured at times.

Now I'll see if a scene is too dangerous and whether it makes a lot of difference in me doing that scene than someone else. I'll also try to have meals at a regular time.

Travelling

I have been waiting to go travelling for quite a while. But the destination, such as Macau, cannot be too faraway from Hong Kong. However, my schedule is so full and I cannot turn down any of those to-do-list. Then I'll start to temporarily give up this thought of trips.

I wanna travel because I'd like to really learn, feel and absorb everything I encountered. After all, it's meaningless to learn nothing after finishing a lot of work!

In this way, I can then improve and thus be more mature.

Hong Kong

Although I have gone to other countries, I have a sense of belonging to Hong Kong as I grow up in Hong Kong and also established my career here.

No matter what, family is always the most important thing in my life!

I always need to be a good role model for my younger brother and sister. I feel lucky that my everything went smoothly for my career so that I can take good care (the most basic ability) of myself.

It's impossible to only focus on either one of my acting and singing career. They make up my entire career. Even if many people ask, "Will you spend more time on singing now?" I'll say "no".

I'll try my best and concentrate on singing when I'm singing, acting when I'm acting. I'll just try my best to do my part and finish my tasks. Others also helped out in the process and that helped me concentrate on my work in a better way. This is the foundation of my career!

Health

I never had facial in the past. Recently, I went to have facial less than 6 times within 2 years. But I began to realize its importance. Nevertheless, my appearance also counts towards my career. It's also a way of showing respect. I'll try to pay more attention to health as being healthy is our key responsibilty for those who love and care about us too.

Family ranks No. 1

My family always stands by my side at all times.

If I have to shoot dramas, then I can only see my family members for a few times in a week (on Monday). Most of the time, I get up early and leave home early. By the time I get back home, it's already past midnight and it's time to sleep. But my parents will still come in and ask if I'd like to have some more meals or snacks so we can meet more often in this way. They are my motives for my life."

Friday Night at TGI Friday's

Met up with Ivan and Eugene yesterday night for dinner at TGI Friday's @ The Gardens, Mid Valley. We waited about 15 minutes before getting a seat in the restaurant. Luckily it is not a long wait.

After broowsing thru the menu, we decided to share our food as the portion in TGI is quite big. We ordered 2 sets of the 2 course meal. Each set consists of one appertizer and one entree. For appetizers, we had Fried Mac & Cheese and Boneless Wings. While for the entree, we had Red Pepper Sausage & Chicken Penne and Fish & Chips. Aside from that, we also ordered their Brownie Obsession as dessert.

Thanks, Ivan for treating both Eugene and me a fantastic meal at Friday's. Definitely will go back Friday's to try out other dishes as the service there is good and the food there is not bad.

Raymond Lam replaces Moses Chan in taking pictures of Bernice Liu

Raymond Lam will soon be going to Singapore for stage work and then to Malaysia for his Christmas concert. It seems that the previous depressing breakup scene was just a small climax. But it seems that Tavia is a little afraid to accept Professor Raymond’s marriage proposal, she’s agraid she will be hunted down by the latter’s fans! So it’s better off to be “brothers” after all.

Joe Ma, Raymond Lam and Yoyo Mung visited an old people's home in Tin Tsui Wai yesterday. They went there to distribute fruits and mooncakes to the old people. Raymond Lam didn't notice Kay Tse was singing out of tune

Raymond Lam has been busy promoting his latest DVD. He held an autograph session and played games with the audience in a shopping mall yesterday. Raymond Lam admits to have once liked Rain Li

Goon Ga Jai’ Raymond Lam will be coming to Malaysia to stage his solo concert.

Re-entering the movies industry

[Raymond Lam's Blog] Special Partner

Yeah, now I’m filming this series (points at the sticker) “Shall we state the case”. You can probably tell by its name what the series is about, it talks about cases and romantic relationships. This time… let’s say I’ve known Ah Yi (Tavia Yeung) for eleven years now, in the same TVB acting class, the last time we portray a couple was “Twin of Brothers”. Is it still on? Yeah I think it still is. That was five years ago. So we’re working together again after so many years. I think we have very good chemistry because we’ve known each other for so long, understand each other, so this time working with her besides having mutual understanding there will also be new sparks. Actually this time our characters are quite different. I’m the….let’s just say the “upper class” person, and she’s more at the grass roots level. So putting these two characters together there’ll be many cute moments because our backgrounds are different, so there will be a lot of scientific effects (chemistry?).

Actually, this series is a huge new challenge for me because the scripts are big, need to remember long and difficult lines. Usually I can use my own methods to remember the script. But this time, I just have to study and learn it off by heart because I don’t know the physics terms. I studied business at school so I don’t know the science subjects. Also, I have to talk about a lot of physics theories so I just have to learn them. For me it’s a new challenge and so far it’s been ok.

Actually, sometimes when we’re working, especially when someone has really long lines, when they don’t remember, we’ll all remind each other. When I’m explaining the cases sometimes I’ll forget but no one reminds me because they say they don’t understand what I’m talking about either, since I’m talking about theories. Raymond Lam performed in Vietnam with 10 local models as backing group

Raymond Lam was in Vietnam performing a mini concert with a full house of 5000 seats. He is the only Hong Kong singer to have performed in Vietnam after Leon Lai 15 years ago. The stage decoration and the lighting were exactly the same as the one in Hong Kong with seats on either side of the stage, making him feel like home.

However, this concert had not got the "Wet" theme, but Raymond had organized 10 local models as the backing singers. Raymond even sang "Remember to forget" with his fans who can only speak Vietnamese and English, but they had learned the song in Cantonese specially for him. Raymond was very happy and was touched.

After the concert, Raymond had an autograph session which attracted over 200 fans who went crazy over him. They surrounded him and followed his around, some even followed him back to the hotel afterwards. There were fans from Singapore and Malaysia and they flew all the way to Vietnam to support him as well as giving him some souvenirs.

Talking about Raymond being the only one from Hong Kong to perform a concert in Vietnam after 15 years, He was very excited and expressed that he is very fortunate having to opportunity to perform there as he hasn't been to Vietnam before. At first, he was worried about not many people would turn up, but when he stood on the stage and saw all seats were occupied, he was very excited. Raymond hopes he will come again. Speaking about the landslides in Taiwan, he was worried about the local fans there. Woo Pin Fish Head Noodles @ Taman Danau Desa

Yesterday I had my lunch with my mum at Woo Pin for their famous fish head noodles. As usual, the place is full with customers during lunch time. It is best to eat on weekdays because the place are packed during the weekends and people need to fight for a seat.

Soong fish head were used and the fish head pieces are either deep-fried or poached. For those who don’t like the fishy whiff or are too much in a hurry to negotiate the bones, they can ask for ‘yue watt’ (fish paste). This is made from fresh tenggiri (mackerel) paste and, being boneless, is ideal for children. I chose the fish paste version, while my mum had the deep-fried fish head version. The fish-pastes were yummy. However, my mum said the fish head pieces have lots of bones.

At Woo Pin, the fish stock is made with a generous amount of dried anchovies, not pigs’ heads or chicken bones. This, according to Chinese belief, makes the soup consumable for those who are observing dietary ‘pantangs’ (taboos). This includes those who have undergone major surgeries, women observing post-natal confinement and children recovering from chicken pox. Rice wine were added into the soup to eliminate the fishy smell and helps whet the appetite. Besides, evaporated milk (Carnation milk) is also added into the soup. Salted vegetables, diced tomatoes, spring onions, coriander leaves and fried onions were added into the soup as well. For those who do not like the milk version, they can op for the clear soup option.

The mee hoon is also another factor to look into. At Woo Pin’s, they use only the handmade variety, favoured because of its thickness. This would give the diner a better bite, unlike the finer machine-made ones which have a tendency to turn soggy and render a mulchy feel to the palate under soupy conditions.
