Bondi Beach Grill & Bar ~ The Curve

Celebrated my B'day with my friends @ Bondi Beach Grill & Bar back in 17th January 2009. I must say that Bondi Beach is a good place to hang out with your family and friends. The service here is very good with friendly staffs taking your orders and serving you. The food here is really good and tasty. Following are the drinks and food that we had that night.

The drinks:

Complimetary drink given by Bondi Beach (so good)
.
.
My Long Island Ice Tea (RM 16)
At first, the Long Island Ice Tea tasted like cough syrup. But after drinking more of it, I start to like the taste..hehe.....A few moments later I realised that my face is red (ehem..... this must be the effect of the drink)
.
.
Helen's Tequila aka Camino (RM 18)
According to Helen, the alcohol smell was so strong until she need to think twce before taking a sip. We tried to help her to finish up the drink, but in the end still left some......

.
Elaine's Whiskey aka Southern Comfort (RM 18)
Among the 3 drinks that contain alcohol, I like this the most
.
.
Eugene's Mixed Berries Smoothies (RM 12)
.
.
The mains:

My Seared Seafood Salad = charred tiger prawns, squid, mussels, curly endives & spicy vinalgrette (RM 18)
The prawns were really fresh.........yummy yummy......
.
.
Helen's Fillet of Dory (RM 21) served with Lemon Herb Butter sauce (RM 3) & Wedges (RM 3)

.

Elaine's Salmon (RM 28) served with Lemon Herb Butter sauce (RM 3) & Wedges (RM 3)

.

Kevin's Tenderloin (RM 32) served with Black Pepper sauce (RM 3) & Tossed Pasta (RM 3)
.
.

Eugene's Sirloin (RM 28) served with Black Pepper sauce (RM 3) & Tossed Pasta (RM 3)

.
.
Here comes the desserts:
Apple Cinnamon Comb RM12
The only dessert we ordered in Bondi Beach was The Apple Cinnamon Comb. This desert was the star of the day.....it is simply tasty especially eaten warm with the cold vanilla ice-cream.

and last but not least, my cute little birthday cake.....

.

Although the price of the foods are a bit pricey, it's worth for every penny spent here. For those who like good food and environment, do remember to drop by at Bondi Beach.

Goon Wah Restaurant ~ XO Fish Head Noodle

I was introduced to Goon Wah Restaurant by my aunt. I went there last Thursday with my mum and aunt. This place is famous for their claypot XO Fish Head Noodles which is a must order for Fish Head Noodles lover. However, remember to come early because it's usually crowded during lunch time. The soup is slightly sour and not as "creamy" as other fish head noodle soup and very appetizing. The pot of noodles is filled with preserved salted vegetables (Ham Choy), sliced chillies and sliced tomatoes and also yam slices. The portion of a small claypot is just nice for 2 people.

XO Claypot Fish Head Noodle (if I am not wrong the price is RM 14)
.
.
Besides that, we also ordered the stir fried kailan shoots ("kai lan miu"). The kailan dish was simple and delicious with oyster sauce taste and fried shallots.

Kai lan miu (i think its RM 8)

Lastly, we ordered a plate of Kou Yoke (piggy + yam) which comes with 5 mantou to eat with. This dish is a bit of let down as the yam were not really fresh and the gravy has too strong "min si" sauce taste. For those who are watching out on their diet should not order this dish as the pork has a layer of very thick fat.

Kou Yoke (oink oink with yam slices)

The total damage for the food was RM 43.20 (3 dish + drinks)
