I recently had my dinner with mum at the newly opened Kheng Heong in Jalan Syed Putra. Service was good. After you
sit down, immediately they will come over to take your order. Food also arrived
very fast; within 10 to 15 minutes the food arrived at our table. The bad point
is I think their price is on the high side for the ordinary dishes that we
ordered. Since there were only two of us, we ordered one vege and meat dish.
Siong Tong Yin Choi (RM 10) The taste of the
soup is actually quite good. Herbs like "Kei Chi" were inserted to make the soup
more flavorful. Besides that, century egg and achovies were also added into this
dish. But, unfortunately, the veg were not washed properly. There are still bits
of sands in them. Sigh..............
Poor Sweet
and Sour Pork (RM 15) Very ordinary, nothing special about it. Lots of
sliced tomatoes were added in, which is a good thing for me as I love tomatoes.
The pork were a bit tough for me. Besides, there are lots of flour being used to
fry the pork. Too much flour, too little meat.......
Total damage
including 2 glasses of plain water (RM 0.60) + 3 rice (RM 3.60) is RM
