Kam Heong Duck Rice @ PJ New Town

Every six months, I'll visit Kam Heong Duck Rice Restaurant once because I need to do some banking in the UOB Bank next to it. In the morning, this coffee shop sells Char Kuey Teow, Curry Mee, Prawn Mee and Claypot Porridge. When the clock struck 5pm, Kam Heong Braised Duck aka Lou Ngap rice will take over the whole coffee shop. This shop has been around since 1976. It is older than me....lol...

Besides selling Lou Ngap, there are other braised Teochew dishes available as well such as
Braised Pork Trotter, Braised Mushrooms, Duck Intestines, liver and Gizzards and Braised Tau Fu & Egg.

For this round, we did not order the Lou Ngap. Will have them another time. We just had the braised pork trotter, duck intestines and gizzards and Ham Choy. Both mum and I had a very satisfying dinner. Will come back again for other stuffs......Yummy Yummy.........

Salted Vegetables @ Ham Choy
I love this very much. The salty vegetables were cooked with pork lard until soft and the taste is good; not really salty. Very appetizing and goes very well with the fragrant rice.


Braised Pork Leg
The above portion is for 2 people. I like this very much. The meat is cooked until soft and tender. The gravy accompanying the pork is very good too. The gravy was cooked with some herbs and spices. Highly recommended.


Duck Intestines and Gizzards
The gizzards & intestines were soaked in a very delicious duck broth. The gravy is really good to be poured onto the rice and just eat like that.


P/S: Do come early to avoid the crowd...I'LL BE BACK!!!!!

Total damage including 3 rice + 2 Chinese tea = RM 18.70
