Raymond Lam as the brand ambassador for local beverage Power Root Alicafe Premium Gold.

.
Went to Sunway Pyramid last Saturday (18/3/2009) with Jolane to see Raymond Lam. He came as the ambassador for the Power Root Alicafe Premium Gold series promo event.

We reached Sunway Pyramid about 11.30 am and had our brunch at Sakae Sushi. The choice of food there is so limited and doesn't really taste good. Prefer Sushi King. We finished our meal about 1pm and straight went to the LG Orange Concourse. A lot of people already waiting over there. Didn't manage to find a spot there, thus we went up one level to wait. Luckily we managed to find a good spot to view the entire event. Hehehe........

Everyone waiting for Raymond to arrive

Look at the crowd....so many people waiting for Raymond

.
Before Ray arrives, Dylan and Yun of 8TV came out to play some games with the audiences. They were so funny..!!!

.

.
After the game session, Gary Yap & Yun hosted the event. When Gary said Raymond is coming out soon, many people started to shout his name.

.

At his moment, everyone is shouting out Raymond's name
.

Raymond finally arrived at 1.45pm. So happy to see him as he's so so so HOT..!!!

.
The session started off with Raymond greeting his fans and then chatted with the hosts. After that, Gary and Yun asked him some questions. When asked whether he has a girlfriend, he awkwardly laughed & replied: "I really want, hope I can find a Malaysian girlfriend. He said that after coming to M'sia a lot of times, he realized that M'sian girls are good at cooking, that's why M'sian food is so good, moreover the people are very warm (passionate), so he hopes he can find a Malaysian girlfriend. When the host asked him what type of girl does he like, he replied: "Everyone knows that I like girls with long hair, but one thing that you may not know is that I recently started to like girls with dimples". Hearing this the host immediately said: "I realized Linda Chung has dimples". Fung replied: "Really? I didn't notice, next time I'll pay attention".

.

..

.

During the event, he also revealed that aside from holding his concert in Hong Kong, Raymond hopes to have the opportunity to hold one in Malaysia too: "My chance to have a concert here depends on your support!" Said this, all the fans there began to scream. With so many fans supporting, it seems that if Raymond wants to come here to hold a concert, it would not be that difficult.

.

After the Q & A session, he took a can of coffee and drank it on stage to promote the drink.

Pangkor Village Seafood Restaurant @ Taman Megah

..
Had another makan session with 5 of my uni classmates at Pangkor Village Seafood Restaurant located in Taman Megah on 28th March 2009. Hmm...I think this is my third time here. For this time, we ordered some of their signature dishes such as the Fish Head Curry, Honey Chicken, Seafood Beancurd and Australian Lettuce ("yau mak").

.
Fish Head Curry (Medium portion ~ RM 33)

.

Everything finish...except fish bones..lol

.
.
Honey Chicken (Medium portion ~ RM 16)

.
The thick, dark sauce coating the Honey Chicken was concocted using Marmite and honey, lending extra flavours to the chicken marinated with soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, sugar and sesame oil. Absolutely delicious........the sweetness of the chicken suite my tastebuds. But according to one of my friend (Liang Sze), the chicken was too sweet for her.

Seafood beancurd (RM 13)

.
The seafood beancurds are firm and springy. According to the waitress, the beancurd were made from prawns, squid and fish which were blended into a paste, then add spring onions, cubed carrots, and soya bean milk.
.
.

Australian lettuce "aka" Yau Mak (Large portion ~ RM13)

Left some vege there....

See see....we finish all the food...(=

Crab pictures on the menu...look so tempting!!!!
.

Didn't order their crabs cause all of us were broke....no money.... (just kidding) hahaha......

.
.
Look closer at the menu. Do u realise the spelling mistake there? It is suppose to be "CRAB" and not "CARB".These "CARBS" are costly....hehe....Besides, I am still wondering what are PONDAN crabs...have not tried them before......After searching thru the internet, I found out from an article on The Star newspaper that the crabs are named Pondan Crabs because the crustaceans are captured during the shell-changing period. The article also stated that delicious crab roes are found under the hard shell and the meat is firm and sweet. Will definitely try their Pondan crab if I were to go there again....

Overall, we were satisfied with the food there.....the total damage for the six of us was RM 92.20.

Bondi Beach Grill & Bar ~ The Curve

Celebrated my B'day with my friends @ Bondi Beach Grill & Bar back in 17th January 2009. I must say that Bondi Beach is a good place to hang out with your family and friends. The service here is very good with friendly staffs taking your orders and serving you. The food here is really good and tasty. Following are the drinks and food that we had that night.

The drinks:

Complimetary drink given by Bondi Beach (so good)
.
.
My Long Island Ice Tea (RM 16)
At first, the Long Island Ice Tea tasted like cough syrup. But after drinking more of it, I start to like the taste..hehe.....A few moments later I realised that my face is red (ehem..... this must be the effect of the drink)
.
.
Helen's Tequila aka Camino (RM 18)
According to Helen, the alcohol smell was so strong until she need to think twce before taking a sip. We tried to help her to finish up the drink, but in the end still left some......

.
Elaine's Whiskey aka Southern Comfort (RM 18)
Among the 3 drinks that contain alcohol, I like this the most
.
.
Eugene's Mixed Berries Smoothies (RM 12)
.
.
The mains:

My Seared Seafood Salad = charred tiger prawns, squid, mussels, curly endives & spicy vinalgrette (RM 18)
The prawns were really fresh.........yummy yummy......
.
.
Helen's Fillet of Dory (RM 21) served with Lemon Herb Butter sauce (RM 3) & Wedges (RM 3)

.

Elaine's Salmon (RM 28) served with Lemon Herb Butter sauce (RM 3) & Wedges (RM 3)

.

.
.

Eugene's Sirloin (RM 28) served with Black Pepper sauce (RM 3) & Tossed Pasta (RM 3)

.
.
Here comes the desserts:
Apple Cinnamon Comb RM12
The only dessert we ordered in Bondi Beach was The Apple Cinnamon Comb. This desert was the star of the day.....it is simply tasty especially eaten warm with the cold vanilla ice-cream.

and last but not least, my cute little birthday cake.....

.

Although the price of the foods are a bit pricey, it's worth for every penny spent here. For those who like good food and environment, do remember to drop by at Bondi Beach.

Goon Wah Restaurant ~ XO Fish Head Noodle

I was introduced to Goon Wah Restaurant by my aunt. I went there last Thursday with my mum and aunt. This place is famous for their claypot XO Fish Head Noodles which is a must order for Fish Head Noodles lover. However, remember to come early because it's usually crowded during lunch time. The soup is slightly sour and not as "creamy" as other fish head noodle soup and very appetizing. The pot of noodles is filled with preserved salted vegetables (Ham Choy), sliced chillies and sliced tomatoes and also yam slices. The portion of a small claypot is just nice for 2 people.

XO Claypot Fish Head Noodle (if I am not wrong the price is RM 14)
.
.
Besides that, we also ordered the stir fried kailan shoots ("kai lan miu"). The kailan dish was simple and delicious with oyster sauce taste and fried shallots.

Kai lan miu (i think its RM 8)

Lastly, we ordered a plate of Kou Yoke (piggy + yam) which comes with 5 mantou to eat with. This dish is a bit of let down as the yam were not really fresh and the gravy has too strong "min si" sauce taste. For those who are watching out on their diet should not order this dish as the pork has a layer of very thick fat.

Kou Yoke (oink oink with yam slices)

Mantou

The total damage for the food was RM 43.20 (3 dish + drinks)
