Polo Buns from Eu Yan Sang

Passed by Eu Yang Sang Heritage Restaurant recently in LG the Gardens Mall and saw them having promotion on their Polo Buns. I got one of their baked custard polo bun and another Huai Shan Chicken polo bun at RM 3.20 (including tax).

a) Baked Custard Polo Bun

 

 Nice top view of the bun

The top is slightly sweet and has a texture similar to biscuit crumbs.

 

Inside of the bun containing the custard filling. Quite nice, not too sweet but would be nicer if there were more custards.

b) Huai Shan Chicken Polo Bun

 Just like the custard bun, the top is slightly sweet and has a bread crumb like texture. The difference is that sesame seeds were added on the chicken bun.

 

 

 

The chicken filling tasted just so so. Nothing to shout about. The taste quite similar to char siew but using chicken meat.
