Double Decker Chocolate Mousse

Vivo is a restaurant chain which sells American style pizza using the traditional baking method which was started by the Horrigan family. Currently, there are eight outlets of Vivo in Malaysia which are located in Tropicana City Mall, Times Square, The Curve, Plaza Pelangi, Aeon Tebrau City, Sutera Mall and AEON Bukit Tinggi in JB and Jusco Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

Besides selling pizza, they also sell a variety of desserts such as Volcanic Chocolate with Ice-cream, Mango Mousse, Tiramisu and the following Double Decker Chocolate Mousse. I got it from the Tropicana outlet at RM 6.20.

Double Decker Chocolate Mousse

I actually quite enjoyed this cake because it was not overly sweet but lacked of chocolate taste. This cake consisted of 2 very thin layer moist chocolate sponge cake and two layer of chocolate mousse. The top of the cake is topped with a layer of chocolate coating. Remember to eat all the layers together to enjoy the best of the cake.

Snacks from Xin Jia Xiang OUG

Besides from selling their signature chicken rice, Xin Jia Xiang also sells some interesting appertizers and snacks such as the following Thai Chicken feet and Honey Mermaid.
Food Photo
GoodGreat!
Thai Chicken Feet (RM 4.50)

The portion of chicken feet being given is large enough to feed three people. A lime was given together for us to squeeze the lime juice onto the chicken feet to make it more appetizing.
Food Photo
A separate plate of chilli sauce was given so that we can adjust the level of spiciness of the chicken feet according to our liking. So thoughtful of them.

GoodGreat!
I mix very little of the chilli sauce because I scared they were too hot. Luckily the sauce is not that spicy. Remember to eat the chicken feet together with the cucumber slices to add in a crunchy texture. Thanks to the sourness of the lime sauce, the chicken feet is very appetizing. A good dish to eat before starting the other main dishes.

Honey Mermaid (RM 4.50)

An interesting name for anchovies..lol...The anchovies are actually fried until crispy and then glazed with a layer of honey mixed with chilli sauce as well as some sesame seed. These crispy anchovies are really good to eat as snack because of the sweetness and crispiness of the anchovies is simply irresistible. I finished the whole box of anchovies all by myself within 2 days. Thumbs up....

Chicken rice @ Xin Jia Xiang OUG

Xin Jia Xiang restaurant is a shop which sells Hainanese boneless chicken rice. Since chicken rice is their speciality, mum and I ordered their roast chicken rice set and steamed chicken rice set. Both sets are only RM 4.50 which I considered cheap with the huge amount of chicken being given.

The chilli sauce and chopped ginger sauce to eat with the rice
Food Photo
The fragrant rice and soup
The rice is really fragrant and tasty to be eaten on its own. The soup is also good because it is clear with very little oil and is tasty with radish taste.
Food Photo
Good
Roast chicken set
The roast chicken is very tender and smooth. I especially like the chicken's skin as it is slightly crispy but not oily. Initially I thought the chicken is boneless but I was wrong, it came with bones. Didn't live up to its Hainanese boneless chicken rice but I still enjoy the chicken very much....Aside from the cucumber slices, preserved vegetables were also given. This is my first time eating chicken rice with preserved vegetables and the taste is on the sweet side instead of the salty and sour taste. Interesting.
Food Photo
Good
Steamed chicken set

The steamed chicken is also smooth and tender. It is nicer to eat t he chicken with the soy sauce as the chicken is quite tasteless when eaten on its own. Just like the roast chicken set, preserved vegetables and cucumbers were given to accompany the steamed chicken.

Hello Panda Biscuits

One of my favorite snacks are the Meiji's Hello Panda biscuits range. The products are manufactured by Meiji Seika (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore. Actually Hello Panda biscuit is a Japanese biscuit which has been around since 1979 in Japan.

I always get the biscuits from Shojikiya as they are selling at the cheapest price as compared to other places. They are selling them at RM 2.50 but there are places like Watson's selling them at RM 3.50.

There are four varieties (milk filling, double chocolate, chocolate and strawberry filling) of Panda biscuits available in the Shojikiya shops and I got the following two flavors which are my favourite among the 4 to eat.

Milk filling Panda Biscuits

The ingredients used in producing the biscuits include wheat flour, emulsifier, vegetable shortening, sugar, malt syrup, lactose, whole milk powder, skim milk powder, raising agent, salt, artificial sugar, milk flavorings, and seasonings such as vegetable protein and yoghurt powder.

The cute panda printed and panda head shaped biscuits
As can be seen on the picture, the giant panda on the biscuits are doing various activities such as football, fencing and archery.

The yummy creamy milk filling in the biscuit

The crispy biscuits consisted of a small hollow shortbread layer, filled with with the yummy creamy milk cream.
Food Photo
Double chocolate flavor

I like the double chocolate bicuits very well. Not only the filling inside the biscuit is chocolate filling, the bicuit surounding the inside is also in chocolate flavor and thus, its' name double chocolate.

Dinner at Fullhouse

While I was at Fullhouse, my friends and I had the following main meals for our dinner.
Food Photo
Wok Sear Chicken Chop (RM 16.90)

The wok sear chicken chop is consisted of a grilled chicken thigh served with mashed potato and vegetables vegetables like carrots and bak choy. The sauce used is black pepper raisin juice. This combination of sauce is rather interesting giving the chicken slightly sour and sweet but lack of black pepper taste. The chicken actually is good to eat own its own as the chicken was slightly marinated which taste quite nice.
Food Photo
Foot long Sausage with Mashed Potato (RM 12.90)

I can't really tell whether the chicken sausage is really one foot as the sausage was cut into four pieces. The sausage is really nothing to shout about. So-so only and slightly salty. The saltiness will be leveled out when eaten together with the mashed potato. However, I like the texture of the sausage. Slightly bouncy...lol.....

Desserts @ Fullhouse Ara Damansara

I have only been to Fullhouse in Ara Damansara once and that was in 2008. Their concept is to give customers a homey feeling. The cafe is very nicely decorated in a mixture of Victorian-esque style. Aside from selling food, Fullhouse also sells gifts, clothes, fashion accessories and decorative items. While I was there with my friends, we had the following two desserts:
Food Photo
Tiramisu (RM 14.90)

We took the advice of the waitress and ordered this tiramisu to end our meal. The cake is rich with mascarpone cheese and the sponge cake is strong in expresso flavor. Just like other tiramisu, this cake is sprinkled with a layer of chocolate powder. The cake was good as it it moist which melts in the mouth. Thumbs up.......
Food Photo
GoodGreat!
Chocolate Brownie (RM 11.90)

The chocolate brownie is based on their home made recipe and was topped with a very rich layer of chocolate sauce. Besides, the cake was also served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Remember to have the best of this dessert by eating both the ice cream and brownie together as it will really excites your taste bud. The brownie is moist and rich in chocolate flavor but it is on the sweet side. A very sinful dessert which can make you fatter if you were to eat it everyday...lol...

Vege Sharky Soup

Always pass by this sharks fin stall in OUG pasar malam and I finally gave a try to it. It is a good way of getting a quick fix for sharks fin soup without burning a hole in your pocket because the bowl of sharks fin soup is only RM 4.50.A must-try soup if you are not into having the original shark fin soup in a high class restaurant. Besides, the sharks fin is actually made from flour, not the real sharks fin. So, it is save to eat for those who are into saving sharks...lol....
Food Photo
A packet of wine and vinegar were given to enhance the flavour of the soup. The black black substance of the soup is actually the wine and vinegar. After mixing them together, I get a good thick, warm and starchy soup.
Food Photo
GoodGreat!
Other than the fake sharks fin, another ingredient in the soup were real crab meats. The amount of crab meats given were decent for its price.
Food Photo
GoodGreat!
Can you spot the sharks fin strand on the spoon? Looks thick to me. And it tasted like soo hoon @ tung fun.
